Blanchard, Krasner & French offers free session in Reno: Protecting Your Woman-Owned Business

Blanchard Krasner & French Free Session Reno Nevada Business Law

In honor of American Women in Business Day (Sunday, September 22), Abbey Stephenson, partner at Blanchard, Krasner & French, will be offering a free educational session to review key topics relevant to business operations in northern Nevada: Protecting Your Woman-Owned Business.

On September 23, you’re invited to join Abbey at the University of Nevada, Reno Innevation Center – Powered by Switch at 4 p.m. to discuss four important areas to keep top of mind when safeguarding the business you’ve built or the one you want to build. Abbey will share about:

– Entity formation (tax and other considerations)
– Buy-sell and related agreements between owners
– Employment law pitfalls
– Intellectual property protection

An estimated four out of ten businesses in the U.S. are owned by women, but this number is growing quickly. This free session, presented by Blanchard, Krasner & French in partnership with This Is Reno will help you understand best how to protect your business in this quickly shifting economy or ensure your entrepreneurial aspirations start with healthy, firm footing.

While it is a free opportunity, seating is limited and we encourage a donation of $5-$10 at the door that will go toward Dress for Success Reno – Northern Nevada, an organization that helps to ensure women in the region have appropriate resources to locate and retain employment. The University of Nevada, Reno Innevation Center – Powered by Switch is located at 450 Sinclair Street and the session will take place on the first floor in the Concept Cafe.

To join simply RSVP on Facebook or email us at ssmall@bkflaw.com.
